About me

I’m Jim Slattery, an experienced integrative counsellor, psychotherapist, and educator with professional registration through the BACP and membership of the UKCP. I practice under Heart Body Mind, which allows me to combine my therapy and psychoeducation work. My therapeutic training took place at the University of Warwick and Newman University, Birmingham, and has been supplemented by specific training related to trauma, loss, neurodiversity, and emotional development.

As an integratively trained therapist, I draw on different approaches — Gestalt, psychodynamic, and CBT — to tailor therapy to your unique needs. This means I can help you explore past experiences that may be shaping your present, develop practical tools for managing challenges, and stay connected to what you’re feeling in the here and now. By blending these perspectives, I aim to offer a flexible and compassionate space that supports you as a whole person.

I offer counselling and psychotherapy at the Centre in Deddington, North Oxfordshire, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
