Counselling and psychotherapy in North Leigh and online

I offer individual counselling and psychotherapy for adults from my practice in North Leigh, near Witney and Eynsham, alongside online sessions across the UK.

Whether you are seeking support with a current difficulty or space to explore longstanding patterns, we can discuss an arrangement that suits your needs.

How often will we meet?

Sessions usually take place weekly, at a regular time agreed together. Having a consistent appointment provides continuity and space to build on our work.

Some people choose a focused period of therapy; others benefit from longer-term exploration. We will discuss your preferences at the beginning and review how the work is progressing. You can raise questions about frequency, direction or ending therapy at any point.

In-person sessions

My practice is based at:

North Leigh
Oxfordshire

The consulting rooms offer a private, comfortable setting for our work.

Parking: Available on site.
Public transport: Hanborough Station (Trains) is 2.2 miles from my location. A bus stop is 0.8 miles from the location in North Leigh, served by regular buses between Oxford and Witney.
Access: Our location does require stairs to access the consulting rooms.

If you have access requirements or concerns about travelling to the practice, please contact me before booking so we can discuss suitable arrangements.

If available: We may also arrange in-person appointments at Eynsham Village Hall for people who need a more accessible location or rely on public transport.

Online sessions

Online therapy allows us to meet from a location that is convenient for you, without travelling to the practice. Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £65.

You will need a reliable internet connection and a private space where you can speak without being overheard or interrupted. I will explain how to join before our first appointment.

If you are unsure whether online therapy would suit you, we can discuss this during the introductory consultation.

Availability

I offer appointments Monday to Friday, including some early evening sessions.

Current availability: Tuesday (9:00-12:00), Wednesday (9:00), Thursday (9:00-12:00 & 15:30-19:30), Friday (9:00-12:00)

Please contact me to check availability before making plans around a particular time. If you cannot see a suitable introductory consultation slot, you are welcome to email me.

Payment and cancellations

I invoice clients on the last Friday of the month. We can organise alternative payment arrangements by session. I also work with a wide range of health insurance providers.

My cancellation notice period is 48 hours. We will discuss these arrangements before beginning therapy so you know what to expect.

Session fees

Individual therapy: £65 per 50-minute session

The first therapy session is charged at the same rate. It gives us time to explore what brings you, what you hope to gain and whether ongoing work together feels appropriate.

Free introductory consultation: 20 minutes, online

This is an opportunity to ask questions, share a little about your circumstances and get a sense of talking with me. There is no obligation to book a therapy session afterwards.

Reduced fees

Reduced fees are available for people facing financial hardship. Please ask about current availability before booking so we can discuss whether a suitable arrangement is possible.

Beginning Therapy

I offer a free 20-minute online consultation. This gives you an opportunity to share a little about what brings you, ask questions and get a sense of whether you would feel comfortable working with me. There is no obligation to continue.

If you decide to book a first therapy session, we will explore your circumstances and what you hope might change. We will also discuss practical arrangements and confidentiality, including its limits, so you can make an informed decision about continuing.

If you would prefer to make contact in writing, email jim@heart-mind-body.co.uk. A short message is enough; you don’t need to share your full story before we speak.
